My computer shuts down while typing or working, even when plugged in, with absolutely no warning. It started just before the warranty expired, so I shipped it off for repair. They returned it 2 weeks later after the warranty expired and it still does it. Now I am out of warranty. I expected more from HP.

I have owned this awesome extremely well equipped small notebook for about 6 months. If you need full features,(read: more than a netbook) but don’t want to carry a full size screen or play games, this is the computer for you. The swivel touch screen is excellent to use as you travel, in tight spaces, a dorm, on deployment or for light field/warehouse work and the light pen is perfect for real signatures and as an alternate input/ pointing and art devise. But the truth is that I don’t use these functions that much. The thumb print log in is great for fast access once you work with it a bit and the battery life is decent (not great but decent) But all that said, it is a niche product… Far more capable than a netbook but too heavy to replace one. If you can live with all your data in the Cloud then you can live with a Netbook. But if you are a road warrior, Soldier or student and want/need full function minus gaming this is the box for you. Please note, You could save quite a bit(at least $300) by foregoing the swivel screen, finger print reader and light pen with another notebook. However, I suspect we will all turn more to netbook type devices in the future. If so this is the bridge to the netbook for those who don’t have connectivity every place they work or those who need full function.

I have had this laptop since Christmas time and I think it’s amazing. Between the touch screen, the swivel screen, the fingerprint reader and the built in DVD player I don’t know where to start. The clarity of the screen is amazing and the sound is crystal clear. The technological advance of this computer is great. The size is perfect for travel and when I’m just at home. The only problem I have had with this computer is the keyboard stopped working 2 weeks in. Don’t send it back! There is a way to rewire the keyboard. Call up and ask. There would be no need to send it back. It is the most advanced computer and I wouldn’t trade it for a Mac any day.

So far I’ve had my HP Pavilion tx2000 for about a month, and everything is working perfectly. I love the size and sturdyness of the laptop, it feels solid. It’s the perfect laptop for traveling, or just hanging at the coffee shop. The finger reader is a plus, I use it to login to all my favorite sites. The sound system works perfectly, and the touchscreen is very responsive. The only con I have about the laptop is the fan, the computer tends to get a little hot when you’re using memory intensive applications. Overall, I’m pleased and would recommend this laptop.

The company that sold me this item lied about what the system had on it. When I called them they told me they would send me the part that I need for free and I STILL HAVE NOT RECIEVED IT. This have been two weeks ago.
